From our farm to your plate

At Elm Valley Farm, we are COMMITTED to providing you with quality food for your family. Our goal is to produce environmentally sustainable, ethically raised products with superior taste,  at  fair value.

Our sincere thanks for visiting our site and helping to support us, your local farmers.

Giving Back

It is our privilege to donate a portion of all proceeds to a deserving charity.  We take seriously the saying “To whom much is given, much is expected”. Every purchase not only helps yourself, the planet and your local farmer, it also helps someone else in need.

Being Responsible

Leviticus 27:30 “And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’S: it is holy unto the LORD.”

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 “…whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

What’s Happening on the Farm

  • May: First Harvest

I am excited to say that our first harvest of the season is here. Fresh, Crisp, Rhubarb!  We are freezing it to wait for strawberry season to arrive. I can’t wait for strawberry rhubarb pie and jam.  Feel free to come get some while it lasts

  • May Update

Two piggies have arrived on the farm. They are soaking up the Vitamin D and hopefully about to turn this patch of land into next year’s garden.

My vegetables seedlings are coming along as well. So far my tomatoes, peppers, celery, peas and garlic have survived.  I’m hoping to have some tomato plants for people by the end of May.

We still have a few chicken and turkey’s available. Put in your order today!!

  • 2012 Poultry Order UPDATE... May 1st

We have a few spots remaining for our amazing  CHICKEN and TURKEY so get your order in today! The turkeys will be ready the week before Thanksgiving fresh, and the Chicken in August.

If you would like to be on our waiting list for fall chicken please email us at  info @elmvalleyfarm.com.  If we have enough interest we will consider doing a second batch of chicken ready for the beginning of September.

  • Febuary 2012. Love is in the Air!

The hens are busy molting and sitting on eggs. We have our fingers crossed that we will see some little baby chicks in a month. Farm plans are being made, and MY SEEDS HAVE ARRIVED!! I’m very excited to announce that we will be doing as big a garden as we can do. Our goal is to produce our own food and to have enough left overs for you.  Our seeds were purchased from Greta’s Organic’s, a LOCAL seed company.  Very exciting. I must admit this is my first time purchasing seeds that did not come from a major ‘home store’.

Just look at the sunshine pouring into the chicken coop on this cold winter morning. The bedding is nicely composting, creating heat from the ground up.  The added sunshine gives the ladies needed vitamin D, and is holding the coop above zero.  The chickens are busy scratching through the bedding for additional grain and greens.

Welcome 2012!! We are very excited to announce that we have joined up with Local Flavours, and we hope to be joining the Brockville Farmers market this year. Our facebook page seems to be helping to spread the word about our little farm and thank you for those of you who are telling your friends about us.  We notice that some of you have been ordering our beef via Wendy’s mobile market and that is wonderful.  I love receiving my order of local farm fresh food from them every week.  It is not enough to ‘like’ what we do. We must all support the local farmer with our purchases.

We will have more beef arriving mid January so please order now to ensure we will have enough for everyone. Check out our list of available products to see what excited things we have for you.  Remember that ONLY our beef is available through Wendy’s.  If you want eggs you need to order directly from us.

    Happy New Year,

We are looking forward to seeing what exciting things happen.
